And thank you for your continued support of the Bethlehem Democratic Party, your Democratic candidates, and our Democratic elected officials. 

We are fortunate to not only have outstanding and dedicated Town Board members in Kyle Kotary, Mark Hennessey, Joann Dawson and Mark Jordan, but we also have two experienced and hard-working Town Justices in Ryan Donovan and Paul Dwyer along with a new Town Clerk Nanci Moquin.  Nanci is Bethlehem’s first Democratic Town Clerk and she is doing an outstanding job serving Bethlehem’s residents.  We are very proud to support these elected officials.

We also have two excellent representatives in the Albany County Legislature - Tom Cotrofeld from Delmar and Charlie Dawson from Glenmont.  And Bethlehem is home to Albany County Executive Michael Breslin, his brother State Senator Neil Breslin, and our State Assemblyman Tim Gordon who also previously served on the Bethlehem Town Board. 

Over the past few years, Democrats have won some important elections.  In 2003, Terri Egan became Bethlehem’s first Democratic Supervisor in our town’s long history.  That year, popular Democratic Town Board Member Dan Plummer won re-election and joined with Egan and Independence Party member & Democratic Party supported Tim Gordon to create Bethlehem’s first non-Republican majority Town Board in over 150 years. 

Since 2003 , Bethlehem has been recognized by MONEY Magazine as one of America’s Most Desirable Communities, implemented our first comprehensive plan, created open space and farmland protection plans, preserved hundreds of acres of open space, saved Colonial Arces Golf Course turning it into an invaluable Town asset, built much-needed sidewalks connecting our neighborhoods, rapidly upgraded the Town’s technology and web-based resources, developed an emergency management and disaster relief program, expanded Henry Hudson Park, became one of New York State’s first Climate Smart Communities, and more.  

Thanks to the hard work of Supervisors Jack Cunningham and Terri Egan, our many Town Board members, dedicated Town staff, committed Planning and ZBA Board members, and the many residents and volunteers who joined our citizens committees, our community has flourished and our town government has excelled under Democratic leadership.  And that record of accomplish speaks clearly and loudly for itself.

As we move forward as a community to address the many challenges ahead, we will continue to work hard and support candidates who support the principles and leadership approach that brought Bethlehem all of those successes, and who uphold the values of the Democratic Party.
